Oct 17 2011: Maps, Leaflets, Phrasebooks and Other Ephemera from a Japanese Tourist Itinerary (1964)

After previous postings showing a Japan Airlines boarding information leaflet and two sets of postcards, one showing views of Mount Fuji in a manner reminiscent of Hokusai, the other a series of views of Tokyo Tower, all from an envelope of paraphernalia relating to a 1964 visit by someone from Attenborough, this gallery might be said to complete the set, with a miscellany of leaflets, maps, phrasebooks and guides relating to the same trip: a series of advertising images, and some colour stills of Geisha performances (both sequences culled from publications found in the same batch of material) are set to follow over the next couple of days.
